Operating
• Machine for polishing and electrolytic
etching with plugs.
Recommended for the in situ,
non-destructive examination or in
laboratory when a mechanical polishing
generates cold hammering or various
disturbances.

Polishing or etching operation is made
thanks to plugs OGIPOL and SHARPOL
covered by a sheath which has been wet
with a very small quantity of electrolyte.
Besides, the area to be polished has been
mechanically prepared with abrasive
papers up to grit P 1000. In case of fragile
sample, it is preferable to prepare
the surface by using a diamond paste
6 microns and a pad.
• An anodic etching can be made easely
in case of thin structures when chemical
etchings are ineffectual or difficult.
